Piqua, OH---The Edison Lady Chargers employed an aggressive full court pressure defense that slowed down visiting Cuyahoga to hold them to just 28 first half points. Edison took a first half lead 48-28 on the hot hand of Kendra Brunswick with 13 points and Brooke Richard's 12 points.
In the 2nd half Cuyahoga was never really able to make up the deficit from the 1st half...but they did pick up the scoring pace behind Brittany Flannigan who ended up with 21 points and Colleen Huberty with 16.
Edison placed 4 players in double figure scoring on their way to an 85-62 league win. Kendra Brunswick had game high scoring honors with 27 points, followed by Brooke Richard with 17 and Morgan Huelskamp and Emily Mowbray each adding 11 points.
Edison goes to 1-1 in conference play while Cuyahoga falls to 0-2.
