Nearly 50 programs representing all nine conference institutions placed student-athletes on the OCCAC All-Academic Team for Fall ’25. A 3.30 grade-point average with 12 completed credit hours is required to receive the honor.
A dozen student-athletes from around the conference and Edison State Head Coach Julia Brandewie received OCCAC Volleyball honors after a league-wide vote from the head coaches.
For the third time in the final five weeks of the regular season, Edison State's Kylie Green has been named the OCCAC Volleyball Player of the Week. Green's hot streak coincided with the Chargers capping a flawless conference season at 10-0 to earn the program's first OCCAC championship.
Gabrielle Habeck (Lorain County) drilled 19 kills against both Terra State and Clark State — both victorious outings for the Commodores. She picked up her third career OCCAC Player of the Week award after recording 5.3 points pet set and attacking .366 (38-12-71).
For the second time in three weeks, Edison State’s Kylie Green has been selected as the OCCAC Player of the Week. She led the Chargers to a pair of road conference wins last week, running their season ledger to 8-0 in OCCAC play and 20-5 overall.
Mikayla Brown and Triceratops Volleyball were victorious in both outings last week, leading to OCCAC Player of the Week honors for the sophomore. Brown is the first Cuyahoga representative to earn the conference’s weekly volleyball honor since Annayia Ruffin did so twice in 2019.
Five weeks, five weekly OCCAC honors for Edison State Volleyball after Kylie Green became the latest honoree (Sept. 22-28). The sophomore Charger contributed on both sides of the net, recording 4.25 points and 3.7 digs per set during a pair of straight-set victories.
Bailey Poppe, a sophomore outside hitter for the OCCAC-leading Chargers of Edison State, has been named the league’s Player of the Week for the second time this season. This extends the team’s streak to four straight individual honors to begin the 2025 season.
Madyson Buckingham became the third consecutive Edison State Charger to be named OCCAC Player of the Week, earning recognition for the week of Sept. 8-14. The libero dug 64 balls, averaging 5.8 digs per set during a 3-match week for the Chargers.
