Gyori Named OCCAC Player of the Week
Springfield, Ohio---Brooke Gyori, a sophomore defensive specialist for the Owens Community College women's volleyball team, has been named the OCCAC player of the week for games through Sept. 25.

Springfield, Ohio---Brooke Gyori, a sophomore defensive specialist for the Owens Community College women's volleyball team, has been named the OCCAC player of the week for games through Sept. 25.
Gyori led her team defensively in wins over No. 20 Des Moines Area Community College, No. 4 Kirkwood Community College, Rend Lake College and Lakeland Community College. The team's lone loss was to No. 2 Parkland College.
In those five matches, Gyori produced a total of 72 digs, 13 assists, two kills and four aces. In the team's three set conference win over Lakeland, she had 13 digs, one kill and two assists.
Overall, Gyori has 290 digs, 38 assists, 34 aces and five kills this year in 21 matches. Her team is 18-3 overall and 7-0 in OCCAC play entering this weekend's Raider Invitational in Grand Rapids, Mich.
Notes
This is Gyori's third career conference player of the week award. She also won Sept. 20 and Oct. 25 of last year.
