Cuyahoga's Hoffman Garners OCCAC Player Of The Week Award

Springfield, Ohio---Holly Hoffman, a sophomore outside hitter and setter from Cuyahoga Community College, has been named this week's Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) player of the week.
Hoffman becomes the first volleyball student-athlete from Cuyahoga to win the conference's player of the week honor in at least five years.
Hoffman led Cuyahoga to a pair of conference wins over Lakeland Community College and Edison Community College. In those two matches, she totaled 36 kills while hitting .309 against Lakeland and .382 against Edison.
In addition to those numbers, Hoffman averaged 14.5 assists, including a week-high 15 against Lakeland. She also averaged 18.5 digs, including a week-high 19 against Lakeland.
In 11 matches this year, Hoffman has 117 kills, 151 assists, 118 digs and seven blocks. In her two-year career, she has 379 kills, 644 assists, 35 aces, 413 digs and 31 blocks. This year, she is hitting .310 compared to .247 last year.
Hoffman and her Cuyahoga teammates are currently 7-4 overall and 2-1 in OCCAC play. They have won three straight heading into Friday's match at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College.
