Owens' Urbanski Named OCCAC Volleyball Player of the Week

Toledo, OH---Lisa Urbanski, a sophomore defensive specialist/libero for Owens Community College, has been named the OCCAC Volleyball Player of the Week.

The award is for the week ending Oct. 6.

On Oct. 2, Urbanski recorded 27 digs against OCCAC foe Sinclair Community College. Then, over the weekend, she recorded 119 digs in four matches at the Vincennes Invitational in Vincennes, Ind.

Overall, she totaled 146 digs over five matches last week, while adding four kills.

For the season, Urbanski has 507 digs. In all games played, she is second in the OCCAC in total digs among OCCAC players. In OCCAC play, she is also second. Cierra Brady of Columbus State leads in both categories.

The Express (11-15 overall, 5-2 OCCAC) will host a rematch against Sinclair Community College this Friday at 6 p.m.

Notes

Urbanski previously won the OCCAC volleyball player of the week award on Sept. 22. She also won the award once as a freshman.
