      <title>Final Basketball Players of the Week Announced</title>

      <description>The OCCAC handed out its final Basketball Player of the Week awards of the 2017-18 season, honoring the District Tournament MVP performances of Brenda Pennington (Owens) and Quintin Dove (Cuyahoga). Both Owens Women&#x2019;s Basketball and Cuyahoga Men&#x2019;s Basketball qualified for the NJCAA D-II National Tournament. No D-III OCCAC teams competed last week.</description>

      <title>OCCAC Representing in National Basketball Tournaments</title>

      <description>Three OCCAC member schools have advanced to the NJCAA National Tournament in their respective basketball divisions. The fifth-ranked Express of Owens Community College topped No. 9 Sinclair, 73-64, to earn their spot in the 16-team NJCAA D-II Women&#x2019;s National Tournament. On the men&#x2019;s side, Cuyahoga and Columbus State are battling for national titles in the D-II and D-III Men&#x2019;s National Tournaments, respectively.</description>

Armani Jackson of Lakeland received the second most votes to join Schroeder on the OCCAC All-Conference First Team alongside Dai&#x2019;Shona Washington-Polk (Owens), Davina Shelton (Owens), Riley Culver (Edison State) and Destiny Wooten (Columbus State).</description>
