Mullins Voted OCCAC Golfer of the Week
Owens’ Will Mullins has been selected OCCAC Golfer of the Week by the league’s coaches.
During the two league events hosted by Lakeland last weekend, Mullins shot a 3 under par 69 on the Quail Hollow Weiskopf course to take medalist honors on Sunday. He followed that up with a 79 on the Quail Hollow Devlin course on Monday. The 79 was just 3 shots off the medalist due to the tough course conditions.
En route to his 69, Mullins shot a 4-under par 30 on the front 9 which is the lowest 9 hole score in league competition during 2016. His round also included an eagle 3 on the 8th hole which is a demanding par 5 with out of bounds encompassing the length of the hole on the left, right and a hazard surrounding most of the green.
Mullins is currently is leading the OCCAC Player of the Year standings by 9 shots over Cincinnati State's Evan Bryan and teammate Dominic DiGiacomo with two league tournaments remaining.
