Owens Golf Leads OCCAC At Midseason

The Owens Express men's golf team reach the midpoint of the OCCAC season with a commanding lead over the rest of the league.
Owens has won the first four of the eight OCCAC golf events to rank first in the standings. The Express have amassed 16 points (4 points for each win). Cincinnati State is in second place with 10 points, having finished second in three of the tourneys. Columbus State and Lakeland are tied for third with seven points each.
Last weekend, Owens recorded the top two team rounds of the season, posting 292s in 18-hole tourneys on Saturday and again on Sunday at Columbus State. All four OCCAC teams posted season-lows on Sunday with Lakeland finishing second at 304, Columbus State at 306 and Cincinnati State at 307.
The OCCAC teams will play a pair of 18-hole events hosted by Lakeland at Quail Hollow Golf Course on Saturday and Sunday.
