Columbus State's Alstadt Finishes 27th At NJCAA D-II National Tournament

Scottsboro, AL---Ash Alstadt, the two-time OCCAC Player of the Year in men's golf, finished 27th at the NJCAA D-II National Tournament last weekend.
He qualified for the tournament due to his fourth place finish at the Region XII tournament.
The sophomore from Arkansas shot a four-round total of 295 (+7) at Goose Pond Colony Golf Course. His individual rounds were: 74-71-76-74. He nearly qualified to earn NJCAA D-II Honorable Mention All-American honors.
It was the second consecutive year that Alstadt participated in the national tournament. Him and his teammates qualified as a team last year as the Cougars finished with a four-round total of 1,221 (+69) and finished seventh. Individually, Alstadt shot a 77-72-73-73 for a four-day total of 295 (+7). That gave him a seventh place finish individually as he earned First Team All-American honors.
