Fort Scott Falls To Neosho In Low-Scoring Affair

Both teams were strong on the hill on Monday, but Neosho was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over Fort Scott on Monday. Tyler Gorman started the game for Fort Scott and recorded 21 outs.
Neosho fired up the offense in the first inning.
In the bottom of the second inning, Fort Scott tied things up at one. Grant Jones drew a walk, scoring one run.
Neosho pulled away for good with one run in the third inning. In the third #5 singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
#16 took the win for Neosho. The bulldog lasted seven innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out eight.
Gorman took the loss for Fort Scott. The righty allowed six hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out five and walking one.
Jeff Clarke, Evann Long, Brody Szako, and Ethan Lopez each collected one hit to lead Fort Scott. Fort Scott was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Szako made the most plays with seven.
#4 led Neosho with two hits in three at bats. Neosho didn't commit a single error in the field. #11 had the most chances in the field with eight.
