Gose, Peters Voted OCCAC Baseball Player, Pitcher of the Week Recipients
Casey Gose and Grant Peters have been named this week's Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) player and pitcher of the week recipients, respectively, in baseball.

Casey Gose and Grant Peters have been named this week's Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) player and pitcher of the week recipients, respectively, in baseball.
Gose, a sophomore outfielder/infielder for Owens Community College, went 10-for-23 (.435) over six games last week. He added six runs, four walks, one double and two RBI. In four conference games, he hit 6-for-13 (.462) with two runs and three walks. Overall this year, Gose is hitting .379 (36-for-95) with five doubles, 37 runs, one triple, 22 RBI, 14 walks and 14 stolen bases.
Peters, a sophomore right-handed pitcher for Owens Community College, posted a 1-0 shutout over No. 3 Sinclair Community College. He went all seven innings while allowing just three hits and two walks with 13 strikeouts. It was the first time Sinclair had been shutout since March of 2014. Peters is now 3-1 overall this year with 29 strikeouts over 25 innings with a 3.96 ERA.
Owens is now 17-9 overall and 2-2 in OCCAC play. They will be back in action at Ashland University tomorrow with a doubleheader.
