Myers, Cecil Pick Up OCCAC Player, Pitcher of the Week Awards In Baseball

Ben Myers and Nick Cecil have been named this OCCAC player and pitcher of the week, respectively, in baseball.
Myers, a sophomore centerfielder from Sinclair Community College, hit .550 (11-for-20) with nine runs, three doubles, seven RBI, five walks and two stolen bases in six games last week. In four OCCAC games against Edison, he went 8-for-12 (.667) with seven runs, two doubles, seven RBI, four walks and two stolen bases.
In a 12-2 win over Edison on April 8, he went 4-for-4 with a run, two doubles and five RBI. He also had three more multi-hit games on the week.
On the season, Myers is hitting .437 with one home run, 31 RBI, 29 runs and seven stolen bases.
Cecil, a redshirt freshman left-handed pitcher from Sinclair Community College, went 1-0 with seven strikeouts in his only appearance last week. He allowed one unearned run and one hit in 5.2 innings.
On the season, Cecil is 2-0 with a 4.71 ERA and 31 strikeouts in 21 innings pitched.
