Massey, Anders Win OCCAC Baseball Player of the Week Awards
Nick Massey, a freshman outfielder from Sinclair Community College, and Alex Anders, a sophomore left-handed pitcher from Sinclair Community College, have been voted the OCCAC baseball player and pitcher of the week recipients for this past week.

Nick Massey, a freshman outfielder from Sinclair Community College, and Alex Anders, a sophomore left-handed pitcher from Sinclair Community College, have been voted the OCCAC baseball player and pitcher of the week recipients for this past week.
Massey went 11-for-21 (.524) last week while adding eight runs, one double, two triples, six RBI, two walks and three stolen bases while helping lead his team to a 6-0 week.
He scored at least one run in five of the six games, including a pair of two run games. His triples came against Lansing and Macomb, and he had a week-high three RBI in a 12-11 win over Lansing.
Massey is hitting .446 this year through 21 games. He has 25 RBI, three doubles, three triples, four home runs and nine stolen bases.
Anders, meanwhile, tossed a seven-inning complete game shutout in a 9-0 win over Macomb. He allowed three hits and two walks while striking out six.
Anders is 3-0 this year with a 3.00 ERA. He has 29 strikeouts over 28 innings pitched.
