Matt Starcovic, a freshman outfielder for Cuyahoga Community College, and Travis Rowland, a sophomore right-handed pitcher for Sinclair Community College, have been named this week's OCCAC player and pitcher of the week.

Starcovic went 7-for-17 with four runs, two doubles, one home run and two RBI over seven games last week. Starting in centerfield for Cuyahoga, he leads the team in hitting at .390 this year over 16 games. He also has three doubles, one triple, two home runs, 10 RBI, eight walks and four stolen bases in those games.

Rowland made two appearances in relief last week. He allowed just one walk while striking out three and not surrendering a hit or run in two innings of work. Furthermore, he recorded two saves last week.

Rowland is 1-0 with six saves and 15 strikeouts over eight appearances this year. In 7.1 innings, he hasn't allowed a run yet.
