Huebner, Pena, George, Ducat Earn OCCAC Honors

Taylor Huebner, Carlos Pena, Brittany George and Lesley Ducat have earned this week's OCCAC player and pitcher of the week honors in baseball and softball.
Huebner, a sophomore third baseman for Sinclair Community College, earned player of the week honors in baseball. He hit .450 (9-for-20) over five games last week. In those at bats, he produced seven runs, five doubles, one triple, two homers and seven RBIs.
Huebner is hitting .388 this year (64-for-165) with 51 runs, 15 doubles, two triples, nine homers and 52 RBIs. He also has 15 walks and 10 stolen bases.
Meanwhile, his teammate Pena, a sophomore RHP, earned pitcher of the week honors. In tossing a complete game victory, over seven innings, he allowed four hits, one run and two walks while striking out eight.
Pena is 9-1 this year in 58.1 innings pitched. He has six complete games, a 2.01 ERA and 59 strikeouts.
George, a freshman shortstop for Owens Community College, went 4-for-5 in a doubleheader against Grand Rapids Community College. She added five runs, two doubles, one walk and one RBI.
George is hitting a team-high .556 this year (50-for-90) with 41 runs, 15 doubles, three triples, eight homers and 43 RBIs. She's struck out only twice alll year while drawing 13 walks. She's 9-for-10 in stolen base attempts.
George's teammate, Ducat, is a freshman right handed pitcher. She went 1-0 in two appearances with one complete game. In six innings, she allowed two hits and two walks while striking out nine.
Ducat is 19-3 overall this year with a 2.92 ERA in 122.1 innings. She has tossed 15 complete games and struck out 125.
