Andrew Flowers batted .500 (6-12) for the week and drove in six runs as Owens Baseball posted a 4-0 showing. The second baseman picked up OCCAC Player of the Week honors while his Express teammate Justin Studenka closed out the week with a hitless 7-inning complete game win to corral Pitcher of the Week laurels.

Flowers registered multiple hits in three of four contests and added two walks for a .571 on-base percentage. He drove in six runs while scoring three himself.

Studenka took the mound for Owens’ fourth and final game of the week. He no-no’ed Clark State with the lone unearned run coming across by virtue of poor defense behind him. Studenka struck out seven batters while issuing two walks and allowing no hits.
