Triceratops Trio + Hutton = Weekly Winners

Three representatives from Cuyahoga—Maddie Brockman, Carter Gast and Sloan Ulrich—are joined by Owens’ Khloey Hutton as this week’s OCCAC Athletes of the Week.

Khloey Hutton | Softball Pitcher of the Week | Owens
Hutton chewed up 36.2 innings in seven appearances for The Express. She shook off a flurry of defensive blunders behind her that allowed 11 unearned runs to come across, emerging with a 4-1 pitching record. Hutton registered a 2.84 ERA after allowing 12 earned runs while striking out 31 batters.

Maddie Brockman | Softball Position Player of the Week | Cuyahoga
Brockman tore it up in a half dozen league games, going 11-for-18 (.611) with two doubles and a homerun. She slugged .889 and drove in five runs as the Triceratops went a combined 5-1 versus Bryant & Stratton (OH) and Owens.

Sloan Ulrich | Baseball Pitcher of the Week | Cuyahoga
Just four batters reached base during a 6-inning complete game win for Ulrich. The southpaw struck out seven Hocking batters in allowing a lone run on three hits and a walk.

Carter Gast | Baseball Position Player of the Week | Cuyahoga
Gast was locked in during the Triceratops 5-1 intra-conference effort, clubbing two doubles, two triples and a homerun. He slugged a smooth 1.000 and showed patience by drawing four walks, all adding up to a 1.591 OPS. Gast either scored or drove in two or more runs in five of six games while batting .500 (9-18).
