RaKiya Collier (Terra State) and Malcom Curry (Edison State) are representing the conference as the OCCAC Basketball Players of the Week for Feb. 16-22. Collier is a first-time honoree while Curry brings home his second honor of the season.
Collier and the Titans battled back from a 15-point deficit to earn a road victory at Kent State Tuscarawas, 62-59. The freshman guard went 8-of-13 from the floor for 19 points and snagged 13 rebounds (four offensive) for a double-double. She was also responsible for five assists and three steals with no turnovers in 35 minutes.
Curry averaged 21.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game during a pair of league wins for the Chargers. He opened with 22 points, six rebounds and five assists against Owens before coming back with 20 points and 10 rebounds at Bryant & Stratton (OH). Curry converted at a 60% clip (18-of-30) overall on field goal attempts.
