The Lorain County pair of Ike Rowser and Abbey Schmitz each snagged their second OCCAC Player of the Week accolade (Feb. 2-8). That marks two in a row for Rowser and the third career honor for Schmitz.
Rowser left the court for just four minutes across three games for the Commodores. He accumulated 61 points, 14 rebounds, eight steals and six assists while committing just two turnovers in 116 minutes of action. Rowser made 23 field goals overall, including a dozen 3-pointers.
Schmitz put up explosive numbers in her team’s three games, registering per-game averages of 35.3 points, 11.0 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 3.7 steals and 1.7 blocks. She opened the week with a triple-double against Community Christian with 33 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists before capping the week by dropping 41 points and 12 more boards in a conference road win at Clark State.
