Week 5 Award Winners Announced

Nnamdi Ajaezu (Clark State) and Liv Mullins (Owens) are the OCCAC Basketball Players of the Week for Nov. 17-23 after each averaged 19 points and more than 13 rebounds per game. Ajaezu makes it two honors in a row for the Eagles while Mullins snags the first for Owens.
Ajaezu pushed Clark State to three wins, including a pair in conference. He racked up totals of 58 points, 27 rebounds, 15 steals, seven assists and four blocks during the three-game winning streak. His most impressive numbers came in a tightly-contested road victory at Owens, recording 25 points, 16 rebounds and a terrorizing eight steals as the Eagles escaped as 92-88 victors.
In total, the freshman forward made 22-of-37 (59%) from the floor and 14-of-18 (78%) at the charity stripe.
Mullins averaged 19.0 points and 14.3 rebounds per game. She was incredibly consistent as well, posting scoring lines of 18-19-20 points with rebound totals of 12-13-18. The Express earned triumphs over Clark State and Delta College, pushed league-leading Lakeland to the brink in a 65-63 setback.
