  • OCCAC Issues Player of the Week Accolades

    Sinclair Community College swept the OCCAC D-II Basketball Player of the Week awards for Nov. 12-18 with Amanda Schroeder and Sean McNeil earning the honors. Shyah Wheeler of Owens Community College picked up D-III Player of the Week distinction.
  • Big Numbers Posted in Week Two by OCCAC Players of the Week

    Week Two of the 2018-19 basketball season saw student-athletes from four different conference institutions earn Player of the Week honors. Lauryn Gray (Edison State) and Whitney Staggs (Columbus State) were selected for the women’s D-II and D-III accolades, respectively, while Sinclair’s San McNeil and Azende Johnson of Hocking College came away as the men’s recipients.
  • Opening Week Conference Players of the Week

    The 2018-19 college basketball season arrived and the OCCAC has selected its first Player of the Week honorees. The D-II winners are Keeara Nared (Sinclair) and James Anderson, Jr. (Cuyahoga) while Taylor Works (Owens) and Justin Newman (Lorain County) earned the D-III laurels.
  • Cuyahoga Atop OCCAC Men's Basketball Preseason Coaches Poll

    Cuyahoga Community College Men’s Basketball has been tabbed as the 2018-19 preseason favorite in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference, receiving first-place votes from seven of the other eight head coaches across the league. Sinclair C.C. and Columbus State C.C. came in at No. 2 and No. 3 in the OCCAC Preseason Coaches Poll, respectively, each garnering one first-place vote.
