Owens and Columbus State in others receiving votes catagory
The Owens Community College and Columbus State Community College women's volleyball teams are in the other teams receiving votes catagory in this year's NJCAA Division II Pre-Season women's volleyball poll. Columbus State CC went to the NJCAA Division II Nationals last season and finished seventh in the nation. The Cougars finished with an overall record of 43-10 overall and 12-0 in the OCCAC. Owens Community College finished third in the NJCAA District E Tournament last season losing to St. Clair (MI) County Community College in the losers bracket final. The Express finished with an overall record 32-19, and finished tied for second with a 9-3 record in the OCCAC.

Cincinnati State Technical & CC in others receiving votes in pre-season poll
The Cincinnati State Technical & Community College men's soccer team is the other's receiving votes catagory in the NJCAA Men's Division I Pre-Season Soccer poll. Last year's Region XII runners-up are one of two Region XII teams in the polls, Schoolcraft (MI) College is 3rd. The Surge finished last season with a 16-3-1 record. They won the OCCAC regular season title with a 6-0-0 record. This season will see all nine region schools will compete in one league with each team playing the other eight teams twice. The top six teams will move on to the Region XII Soccer Championship.
